Haringey Law Centre is a membership organisation. People can apply to become members and get involved in the life of the law centre. We also have a management committee made up of volunteer trustees who set the law centre’s strategic direction and hold the staff accountable for legal and financial decisions being made. The management committee holds a minimum of six meetings a year and is required to undergo re-election at annual general meetings. The management committee is also required to ensure that the law centre’s accounts are independently audited filed with the Charities Commission by the end of each financial year.

We are interested in discussing trustee appointments with people who have experience of one ore more of the following areas:

  • Law
  • Finance
  • Communications and Marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Social Enterprise
  • Charitable structures and governance matters
  • Legal Aid funding
  • Community Languages (particularly Turkish, Kurdish, Spanish, Somali)

Please do not hesitate to contact us for a discussion if you are interested in making a difference and have the skills to do so.
